Cameron Olson joined the Bucknell men's soccer coaching staff in August 2021.
Olson arrived after most recently serving as an assistant at the University of Vermont, where he assisted in all aspects of the men's soccer program. The Catamounts finished as the runner-up in the America East in the spring, ending the season at 5-2-1 and 4-1-1 in conference play. Vermont also received votes for the top 25, and Alex Nagy earned Third Team All-American honors during Olson's tenure. While in Burlington, Olson also helped mentor the America East Newcomer of the Year, four All-Region selections, and seven America East All-Conference selections.
Olson also spent time as an assistant at Xavier from 2019-20, assisting with scouting and running daily training sessions after serving as the Director of Operations from January 2016-18. The Musketeers finished as the Big East runner up in 2017, while earning USC Team Academic Award each of his four years at the institution. Xavier ranked as high as #11 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll in 2019, and also held a top six GPA in the nation in 2018.. The Musketeers also qualified for the Big East playoffs in 2016 and 2018.
Jalen Brown and Cory Brown each earned selections in the MLS Draft during Olson's tenure at Xavier, and he also coached two MLS Combine participants, with nine former players going on to sign professional contracts. In total, Olson coached 15 All-Big East selections, five All-Region picks, and two Academic All-Americans during his time in the Big East.

Prior to his time in Cincinnati, Olson enjoyed a successful playing career at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. The native of Clifton Park, N.Y. was a four-year starter for the Gators, and also captained the team for two seasons. In his senior season, Olson finished the campaign with three goals and five assists, and was awarded the Team Award by the Allegheny coaching staff.
In addition to finishing his career in the top 10 in assists at Allegheny, Olson also earned NCAC All-Conference honors in 2012, and was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player for the Gators in 2013. Olson also spent time at Lancaster University in Lancaster, England, scoring the game-winning goal vs. York to earn the 2014 Roses Tournament Championship, the largest inter-university sports tournament in Europe.
Olson graduated with his Master's degree in education in coaching education and athlete development at Xavier in 2016. Olson holds a USSF "C" License, and he also holds a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping II diploma.
