Dear Bucknell Women’s Swimming & Diving Community,
I have always had a passion for athletics, but my desire to compete at the collegiate level didn’t develop until I transitioned from gymnastics to diving in high school. I immediately fell in love with the sport and knew I didn’t want my athletic career to finish following my senior year. I am grateful each day for the opportunity I have been given to be a part of the women’s swim and dive team here at Bucknell University.
I still remember my first practice at Bucknell and the excitement it gave me for the next four years. I loved the spirit, positive energy, and camaraderie of the team and couldn’t wait to contribute to it. I have made many amazing memories with my teammates, and my experience on the team has undoubtedly contributed to the person I am today. As I start my senior season, I am filled with gratitude for everyone who has made this journey possible for me and enthusiasm for the possibilities that lie ahead for our team.
It is an honor to represent Bucknell as a student-athlete, and I will take the experiences I’ve had and the lessons I’ve learned with me long after my time on the diving boards finishes. This institution has an exceptional balance between academics and athletics that has enabled our team to set and achieve individual and collective goals I never could have imagined.
This experience would not have been possible without the constant encouragement and support you have given to our program. Your contributions have given us the resources to train and compete at a high level while enjoying the process and achieving success along the way. On behalf of my coaches, teammates, and Bucknell Athletics, I would like to sincerely thank you for your kindness and generosity towards our program.
