Dear Bison Softball Community,

Growing up, playing college softball was always a dream of mine. However, my prime recruiting period aligned with the uncertain and challenging months of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the world seemed to pause, so did the pathway to what mattered most to me—softball. Amid this difficult time, I was incredibly fortunate to receive an email from Coach Si. Her response opened a door I thought had closed, offering me the incredible opportunity to make my dream a reality. Through her support, what once felt like a distant hope transformed into a possibility.

Choosing Bucknell was an easy decision. I knew it was a place where I could flourish academically and athletically. When meeting players on the team, even just over Zoom, I could immediately tell that Bucknell Softball was a welcoming, inclusive community that would support me wholeheartedly. When I arrived on campus as a first-year student, that impression was immediately confirmed.

The Bucknell student-athlete experience extends beyond just softball. I have had the opportunity to form a unique relationship with every player with whom I have crossed paths. I have had the privilege of immersing myself in a variety of clubs and activities while balancing the demands of a rigorous academic schedule. Bucknell softball’s supportive environment and resources allow me to fully engage in enriching experiences outside the classroom while still dedicating quality time to softball.

I wouldn’t trade my experience as a Bucknell student-athlete for anything. The thrill of nail-biting games, unforgettable clutch moments, our annual spring break trip, hotel fun, and team dinners have all created fond memories. Each moment as a Bison has strengthened my connection to my teammates and enriched my athletic experience in ways I’ll carry with me forever.

However, none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our alumni, family, and friends. Your generous contributions give us the resources that not only enhance our ability to compete at a high level but also our overall experience. Your generous commitment to Bison softball empowers us to pursue our dreams and grow as athletes and individuals in the Bucknell community and the world beyond.

On behalf of my coaches, teammates, and Bucknell Athletics, I want to thank you for your ongoing support. Without you all, these unforgettable experiences would not be possible.
