Dear Bucknell Women’s Lacrosse Community,
As I start my senior year, it is exciting to look back at the incredible experiences this team has given me, which have shaped my time at Bucknell for the better. I am extremely grateful to the Bucknell Athletics coaches and staff for pushing us to be our best selves every day and for the countless lessons I have learned on and off the field.
Coming to Bucknell in the fall of 2021, after losing all of my high school junior season to the pandemic and only having six games my senior year, I was nervous to get started. While the transition was naturally intimidating, I was met with enthusiastic and encouraging teammates and coaches who helped me realize the potential impact I could have on the team over the next four years. My first-semester freshman self could never have imagined the career I would have and the incredible lifelong friendships and memories I would create.
My favorite memories include beating Army my freshman year, our dominating win over American my sophomore year, and our last-second win against Lafayette my junior year. Each of these moments taught me that success as a collegiate athlete is built on more than just game-day wins; it comes from relentless daily effort and a commitment to showing up and pushing through challenges.
Additionally, I am very thankful for the support that Bucknell Athletics and our coaching staff provide for us academically. They remind us how being a student always comes first and push us to do our best in the classroom. As an accounting major, I am very proud to be graduating with 150-hour credits in May to sit for the CPA exam and begin my career as an Audit Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City.
Although playing at the collegiate level is very physically and mentally demanding, Bucknell provides us with the resources we need to succeed on and off the field. These resources would not be possible without the ongoing support from our alumni, family, and friends of our program.
To our alumni - we cannot thank you enough for what you have done for our program during your time as players and now alumni. The traditions you created continue to live on and the lessons you taught us get passed down and inspire our younger players. With your financial support, we can continue to do what we love every day.
To our family and friends - we truly have the best support system there is! Win or lose, there is nothing better than seeing everyone show up at our games and spending quality time together at our tailgates afterward. Your financial support directly impacts our student-athlete experience, and we are very grateful for your generosity.
As we are close to entering another exciting season, I am thrilled to share my experience with you all as your donations help us compete at our best. Most recently, generous donors like you enabled our program to have a very successful One Herd One Day 24-hour giving challenge which will directly impact our 2025 season. We are incredibly lucky to travel to Florida for our spring break in March. This is our first time traveling on spring break since the 2020 season. It will be a time of team bonding and competitive out-of-region games. The support from OHOD in 2024 has allowed us to plan a great trip, and one the team is very much looking forward to! We hope that our 2025 OHOD can also jump-start our spring break planning for 2026.
Being a part of the Bucknell Women’s Lacrosse team has been an incredible journey and I am truly grateful for the unwavering support of our amazing community - thank you for making this experience possible! I hope to see you all at a game this spring!
Go Bison!
