Championship History
2024 will mark the third time Bucknell has hosted the EIWA Championships, having previously held them at Sojka Pavilion in 2017 and 2011. The Bison joined the EIWA in 2000 before the wrestling program was discontinued after the 2002 season. Thanks to a generous gift by Bison alumnus Bill Graham, the program was reinstated in 2006 under the leadership of Dan Wirnsberger. The Bision made an immediate impact and placed as high as third in the EIWA in 2009.
Bucknell has had four individual EIWA champions in Andy Rendos (165 – 2010), Kevin LeValley (149 – 2011), Joe Stolfi (285 – 2014) and Zach Hartman (165 – 2021).
