Dear Bucknell Women’s Soccer Community,
I’m honored to write to you today on behalf of the Bucknell women’s soccer team. We have four games remaining on our conference schedule and then will look forward to postseason competition and a chance to win another Patriot League title.
As I enter my final season as a Bison, I cannot help but reminisce about the unforgettable experiences I have had throughout my past four years. Under the incredible leadership of Head Coach Kelly Cook, I’m proud to have been a part of two Patriot League championship teams and aspire to earn one more.
Every season is filled with its highs and lows, and this was even more apparent my freshman year, as our fall 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19. It was devastating to our program, but it gave us even more motivation for the following season, and we have never looked back.
Even during the pandemic lull, alumni, parents, and friends provided unwavering support and made it possible to win back-to-back championships. Whether through annual donations, being dedicated alumni, or physically coming out to our games, you have shown through and through what epitomizes our Bison family.
We truly could not be as successful without the tremendous support we receive, and we cannot begin to express the gratitude we have for each and every one of you. Thank you so much for believing in me and my teammates. Thank you for allowing us to focus our work on the field while providing us with the necessary resources for a great experience.
Most recently, generous donors like you enabled our program to look forward to the team room and locker room renovations, allowing us to share a more inclusive space as a team. From new wooden lockers to carpeted flooring and even cleat drying racks, we are so grateful to have been granted this updated space to prepare for practice and games and spend quality time together.
The remarkable experiences I've had at Bucknell have been made possible through the generosity of our women’s soccer community. Your support, no matter the amount, plays a pivotal role in ensuring that my teammates and I have all the essential resources that allow us to compete at the highest level.
We cannot wait to make you proud this season and hope for nothing more than to keep our championship trophy in Lewisburg. Thank you again, and we hope to see you soon at Emmitt Field at Holmes Stadium!
Go Bison!
