Fall Charge -- Ally Riuli (Cheerleading)

Dear Bucknell Cheerleading Family,
Â
I am excited to write to you today after a successful preseason that ended with the Bucknell cheerleading team receiving a bid to the National Cheerleading Association College Nationals in Daytona, Florida in April of 2024. While preseason and the road to getting a bid wasn’t easy, it was overwhelming to be able to accomplish such a feat for the first time in program history.Â
Â
As we shift our focus to home games at both Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium and Sojka Pavilion, we are excited to show off all that we’ve learned these past few months. This year our goal is to become stronger as a team, and to make every game for all Bison fans one they will remember for a lifetime!
Â
Being part of this program has shown me how to navigate adversity and overcome each obstacle with grace. Our team has always made the best of whatever situation is thrown at us. During the 2021-2022 season, we had the opportunity to cheer at the Bucknell versus Army West Point football game. Although the weather was exactly the opposite of what anyone would have wanted - hail pouring down on us mid-game - we took control of our energy. We made the game the biggest party you could possibly imagine, and to this day, that is one of my favorite memories and growth opportunities with Bucknell Cheer.
Â
Going into this year, I am excited to see how our team will take on the adversity of uncharted territory. We look ahead to games at Christy and Sojka, while learning from our past, and use all of those moments to get us to Daytona this coming April.
Â
It is truly an honor to represent the Bucknell cheerleading team, and I am so grateful for your commitment to the growth of the program. Your support has made it possible for me to enjoy my Bucknell experience, both academically and with the cheer team.
Â
We can’t wait to make you proud this season and to show you how far we have come as a team.
Â
Go Bison!
