CSC Release
The criteria for inclusion specified a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, sophomore standing or higher, and ranking top 50 in region in an event.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 14, 2026.
All six recipients are first-time winners. Shomper, who earned Second Team All-America at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, advanced to the national ballot. The senior shot putter stands a solid chance of receiving the honor. He earned Academic All-Patriot League five times in his career.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track & field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
