Bison Set School Record in 200 Medley Relay on Opening Night of Patriot League Championships

RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Natalia Gajecki, Hanna Bingley, Samantha Benzija and Sara Ketron set the school record in the 200 medley relay to kick off the Patriot League Championships at Lejeune Hall on Wednesday night. After just two events, the Bison sit in third place behind Army and Navy.
The 200 medley relay team swam a time of 1:41.08, beating the previous record of 1:41.35 set at last year's Patriot League Championships that featured Bingley, Benzija and Ketron. Army won the medley relay in 1:38.37, setting a new Patriot League record in the event.
Clara Renner, Jennifer Bolden, Kyla Kelly and Sydney Dettmann followed the historic swim with a bronze medal in the 800 freestyle relay. The group swam a time of 7:19.33 that now ranks fifth on Bucknell's top-10 lists.
Bucknell has 104 points after the first two events just behind Navy at 112 points. Army sits in first at 128 points. Loyola and Lehigh are tied on 100 points, and Boston U. and Colgate have 94 points.
The Bison are back in action tomorrow for preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. in Lejeune Hall. Finals continue at 6 p.m. tomorrow evening.
