LEWISBURG, Pa. – Drew Roskos was voted as the Patriot League Forward of the Week and Thomas Yerbury was named the Patriot League Forward of the Week after both players led the Bison to an important 3-1 win over Navy.Â
After trailing 1-0 after 10 minutes of play, Roskos guided a header perfectly off the post and in to equalize the match 1-1. Just nine minutes later, Roskos received a pass on the edge of the box and fired a hard shot that beat the keeper through his legs to give the Bison a 2-1 lead.Â
The goals were his fourth and fifth of the season, and the reigning Patriot League Forward of the Year is up to 11 points on the season. He now has back-to-back seasons with at least five goals and 11 points with one regular season match to play.Â
Yerbury made five saves in the match after the early goal from the Mids. He made three saves in the second half including a diving stop on a header from close range. Yerbury has five clean sheets this season for the Bison.Â
The win put Bucknell in sole possession of fourth place after Loyola earned a 1-1 draw with Army. The Bison and Greyhounds face off Tuesday night in Baltimore at 6 p.m.
The Bison can clinch a top-four seed with a win or draw, and Loyola must win in order to earn a top-four seed.
