LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell women's golfer Joelle Johnson was named the Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week for the second time this season after a fourth-place finish at 6-over-par at the Quinnipiac Classic on Monday and Tuesday.
This is the sophomore's fourth career Golfer of the Week citation and Bucknell's third of the season. Since the start of the 2025-26 season, the Bison have earned 13 Patriot League weekly awards.
Johnson's finish marked her third consecutive top-five finish this fall to lead the Bison to a second-place finish. The Bison now have three consecutive top-two team finishes this season.
The Bowie, Maryland native opened play on Monday with 1-under-par 71 for her third red number of the season. It was a bogey-free round for Johnson who birdied the sixth hole while making 17 pars.
She followed up with a 75 and a 76 with two birdies in each round to secure her top-five finish.
Johnson previously won the Bucknell Invitational a month ago, and she was coming off of a second-place finish at the Golf Galaxy Collegiate two weeks ago.
The Bison are back in action on Monday and Tuesday for the 54-hole Spider Invitational hosted by former Patriot League program, Richmond.
