BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bucknell women's golf team finished in third place at the 2025 Patriot League Championship, its best showing since winning the title in 2014. Freshman Sophia Bardunias and junior Paige Richter both earned All-Patriot League medals after posting top-10 finishes at Saucon Valley Country Club.
After struggling in the opening round on Friday, Bucknell bounced back with a record-setting second round on Saturday. Led by a 1-under-par 71 from Richter, the Bison compiled a 297 team score, its best ever in a Patriot League Championship. That round put Bucknell firmly in third place, and although the Bison got within four strokes of Boston University for the No. 2 spot early in the round, they finished with a 310 team score and a solid third-place finish.
The Bison finished at 934 over 54 holes, eight in front of fourth-place Lehigh and 11 behind the second-place Terriers. Navy ran away with the championship, posting a winning score of 885 that was 38 shots in front of Boston University.
Katherine Vice was the low Bison on Sunday with a 76, followed by Bardunias with a 77, Tara Thomas with a 78, and Nicole Yun with a 79. All six Bison had at least one round counted in the team score during the tournament.
Bardunias finished alone in sixth place to earn First Team All-Patriot League honors. She finished with a 54-hole total of 230 (78-75-77) to cap off a terrific rookie season. Richter tied for seventh at 231 (80-71-80), and she has now earned All-PL honors in each of her three seasons. She is Bucknell's first three-time All-Patriot selection and joins Lauren Bernard as the program's only three-time all-conference honorees. Bernard earned All-Big South honors in 2011 with the Bison competed in that conference, and she was an All-Patriot Leaguer in 2013 and 2014.
Navy's Emma Tang was the medalist with an even-par 216 (73-70-73). Teammates Sue Lee and Megan Kirkpatrick tied for second, four shots back.
