Women’s Golf Underway at Babs Steffens Invitational

RESULTS
DeBARY, Fla. – The Bucknell women's golf team improved by 15 strokes in from its morning round into round two, posting team scores of 332 and 317 on Monday as the Babs Steffens Invitational got underway at DeBary Country Club. The Bison are in 13th place with one more round to go on Tuesday.
Playing in Florida for the second time this month, the Bison got out to a slow start but were much better in the afternoon, led by a 4-over-par 76 from Katherine Vice and a 78 from Paige Richter. Nicole Yun followed with an 81 and Sophia Bardunias with an 82. Bardunias led the team with an 81 in round one.
Vice made three birdies and 11 pars in a strong second round, and Richter was even on the course's front nine with a birdie at 8 and seven pars. Vice is the low Bison through 36 holes, tied for 44th place at 160.
Host Stetson shot 296-285 for a 5-over total of 581, and the Hatters have a massive 21-shot lead over second-place Jacksonville.
Nobody in the 86-player field is under par after 36 holes. Jillian Fatkin of Queens and the Stetson duo of Fiippa Jansson and Julieta Oviedo are all at even-par-144. Stetson's Isaki Sakashita (+2) an Alisa Brannock (+3) are close behind.
The third and final round gets underway on Tuesday morning.
