LEWISBURG, Pa. — Recent Bucknell graduates Blake Wisdom '23 and Peter Bradbeer '22 both played in Monday qualifiers for this week's Memorial Health Championship on the PGA Tour-sanctioned Korn Ferry Tour, and both gained entry by virtue of outstanding 7-under-par rounds.
Wisdom, who followed up four stellar seasons at Bucknell by playing as a regular as a graduate student at Wisconsin in 2023-24, qualified by shooting a bogey-free, 7-under 64 at Gateway National in St. Louis. Wisdom made seven birdies on the day, including two sets of three in a row. He birdied holes 16-17-18 to get to 7-under, putting him in a three-way tie for the lead alongside Logan McCracken and Jake Holbrook. Four players finished one shot back with 65s, and Griffin Wood emerged from a 4-for-1 playoff for the final qualifying spot.
The top four also advanced out of the qualifier at Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Ill., and after firing a 7-under 65, Bradbeer found himself in a three-man playoff with Bo Hoag, a veteran of nearly 80 PGA Tour events, and Clemson alum and 2021 NCAA champion Turk Pettit. Bradbeer, who couldn't survive a 4-for-1 playoff to qualify for the U.S. Open three weeks ago, got the job done this time.
Earlier, Bradbeer made eight birdies with only one bogey, and his clutch 2s on the par-3 15th and 17th holes got him into a tie for fourth place. Ryan Cole was the medalist with a 10-under 62.
The Memorial Health Championship runs this Thursday through Sunday at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Ill.
