
Richter Earns All-Patriot League Medal as Women’s Golf Finishes 5th at Patriot League Championship

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Paige Richter fired a 3-over-par 73 to earn her second straight All-Patriot League medal, and the Bucknell women's golf team compiled its second straight 306 to finish in fifth place at the Patriot League Championship, which wrapped up Sunday at chilly Bucknell Golf Club.
Richter birdied the par-5 9th and 15th holes on the way to her 73, which was Bucknell's low round of the week and the fourth-lowest score in the field on Sunday. Richter finished alone in seventh place with a 54-hole total of 226 (76-77-73). She also finished T-7th at last year's championship at Independence GC in Virginia.
Also for Bucknell on Sunday, freshman Nicole Yun made 13 pars on the way to a 75, and freshmen Lila Smith and Katherine Vice both shot 79. Freshman Sofia Nogalo made three straight birdies on holes 9-10-11 but struggled down the stretch and finished with an 80, and senior Kelsey Yi closed out her Bison career with an 81.
Led by a 69 from Keira Howard and a 72 from medalist Stephanie Lee, Navy shot 289 to pull away from Boston University for the team championship. The Mids posted 882 over 54 holes, followed by Boston University (891), Lehigh (911), Richmond (914), Bucknell (925), and Holy Cross (955).
Navy's Stephanie Lee compiled an 8-over 218 to hold off teammate Sue Lee by one shot. Boston University's Christy Chen (220) and Annika Majunath (223) finished 3-4, and Navy's Emma Tang and Lehigh's Yuki Zhu both finished at 225 to round out the All-Patriot League First Team.
Richter, joined Lehigh's Madison Pineda and Richmond's Olivie Wilkie and Hannah Lydic on the Second Team. The latter three tied for eighth place at 227.
In a vote of coaches, Chen was selected as the 2023-24 Player of the Year, Boston University's Amy Han was named Rookie of the Year, and Navy's Kylee Sullivan was named Coach of the Year.
