LEWISBURG, Pa.- Senior libero Jordan Hardy caps her historic collegiate career by repeating as American Volleyball Coaching Association (AVCA)Â All-Region (East Coast) Honorable Mention as announced Tuesday morning by the organization.
"Jordan had a fantastic senior season," said head coach Tyler Hagstrom. "I am really proud of the way she upped up her game in league and especially in some big league matches to help lead the team. She made it very hard for the opposing offense to score, passed extremely well in serve receive, and went on some important runs with her serve. She had a massive impact on our success with her play and leadership. She will go down as a Bucknell legend."
It shines Hardy's already illustrious stature to the Bison program as the libero, in 2023, became the first Bison to earn AVCA postseason honors and now she adds to her record with a second honorable mention - a most impressive feat considering the talent level centered on the Eastern Seaboard.Â
For the fourth straight season, Hardy patrolled the Bucknell defense as the mainstay against enemy aerials, collecting 475 digs in 26 matches averaging 5.16 per set - first in the Patriot League and 11th nationally. Hardy's overall numbers missed 500+ for the first time since 2021 as Bucknell racked up 16 sweeps limiting her opportunity for volume content but her 1986 career total shattered Brandi Trapasso's Bucknell record of 1588 and ranks fourth in PL history.Â
Last year, Hardy made history as Bucknell's first PL Libero of the Year and the first Bison to obtain All-Patriot League First Team honors since 2010. She repeated as Libero of the Year and All-Patriot League First Team this season as Bucknell posted its best winning percentage (.808) in school history finishing 21-5 and setting the program record for conference wins (13) in a season. She repeated her success in the classroom earning Academic All-Patriot League honors.Â
Hardy will graduate in the spring with a Finance major and a minor in Legal Studies and will pursue a MBA at Baylor.Â
