American placed seventh (223) with Colgate at eighth (229), Loyola (Md.) following at ninth (254), and host team Lafayette at tenth (264).Â

Donner's Debriefing
"I would say it was a solid race for our women but not a great race by all means. We did have a few runners who met or exceeded our projections but we also had a few who were a little flat. Great to see Caryn Rippey and Kailey Granger make the All-Patriot League team. They both work hard and were very deserving of this honor. We had beaten Navy twice this year but both were very close races. They had a great meet and we were a tad off. Now we regroup for the regionals."
Junior Caryn Rippey headlined the Bison efforts all year and her tenth place finish (21:09.6) clinched a Second Team All-Patriot League slot. She moved up five slots near the end of the race to notch the award.Â
Sophomore Kailey Granger set at 34th after the first mile but quickly continued to mount a comeback and eventually finished 12th (21:11.2) to earn Second Team All-Patriot League honors.Â
Senior Lauren Trapani became the third Bison runner to finish in the top 20 by placing 20th (21:31.3). Trapani fell to 26th during the race but showing veteran strength rallied to make her final spot.Â
Freshman Shaelan McNally christened her first Patriot League Championships with a 22nd place finish (21:34.9). McNally sat at 44th after the first mile but displayed excellent fortitude to move up 22 spots. McNally previously struggled with her stamina and this result showcased her discipline and training. The future is bright for the freshman.Â
Senior Sarah Policano finished her Patriot League Championships career by finishing 24th (21:37.9). Policano was 41st after the first mile but continued to grind and moved up 17 spots to complete her day on a strong note.Â
The Bison will return to action on Nov. 15 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals. Penn State will host the event. Bucknell raced there at September Spiked Shoe Invitational.Â
