Hardy Named Bison of the Week for Arena Record Set at Liberty

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Junior libero Jordan Hardy earned Bison of the Week laurels for her impressive play at last weekend's Liberty Tournament. Hardy shined at the tournament and helped to lead Bucknell to a 3-1 win over Gardner-Webb on Saturday.Â
The Patriot League Preseason Libero of the Year wasted no time picking from where she left off in 2022. Hardy dominated the defensive proceedings, obtaining 57 total digs in 10 sets played. Her 28 digs on Saturday against Gardner-Webb set the single-match record for Liberty Arena. She currently ranks first in the Patriot League and 11th in the nation in digs per set (5.70).Â
"Jordan put herself in plenty of great positions to dig balls," said head coach Tyler Hagstrom. "She reads the ball well and has tremendous effort. She has a lot of different ways that she can help us defensively. She has a lot of different ways in how she digs the ball. It can be hard driven, running down tips, covering, and getting into great positions to obtain those digs."Â
Fans can see Hardy and the Bison this weekend when the Orange & Blue hosts the Bucknell Invitational on Sept. 1 and 2.Â
