Rayven Sample to Compete in the U.S. Paralympics National Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell Bison men's track & field runner Rayven Sample will run in the U.S. Paralympics National Championships held at Chula Vista, California tomorrow.

"This is a great opportunity for Rayven to continue his season and compete on a national stage and be in a position to make a world championship team again," said head coach Kevin Donner. "We are grateful that we have an endowment in the name of Art Gulden that our alumni have built up, which we can use for our high-level student-athletes to get to these types of post-season meets hosted by USATF."Â
The Jamestown, N.Y. native competes in the T-45 100-meter and 400-meter dashes. The races will provide him with the opportunity to make the world team. Sample has participated before in the U.S. Paralympics National Championships. He is a two-time U.S. Paralympics National Champion in the 100-meter and 400-meter dashes and a 2021 Paralympic Games Finalist in the 400-meter dash.Â
The 100-meter dash starts at 1:16 PM/10:16 AM (ET/PT) and the 400-meter dash starts at 7:02 PM/4:02 PM (ET/PT).Â
