"Both teams are sitting pretty in the team scoring with many potential points coming tomorrow," said head coach Kevin Donner. "Meghan Quinn was setting school records every time she touched a track, and she was on fire today. Our male field event athletes had great days and scored some nice points. I loved seeing our female javelin throwers go second and third. We had many PRs, and IC4A/ECAC qualifiers from many of our runners were nice. We have all six relays entered tomorrow to flex our depth and have some fun. Overall, it was a great day one."
Quinn had a career day with two new school records in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash. The sprinter finished second in both. Her times of 11.69 and 23.85 established the new bench march for the events. Quinn now owns four school records.
Two Bison runners entered the top 10 in the 400-meter dash. Jessie Castellano finished sixth in the race and is now sixth all-time for Bucknell in the event as she ran a time of 56.33. Ally Clarke earned fifth in the Bucknell record books and sixth in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:49.11.
Kate Amaddio and Meghan Smith finished ninth (36:47.43) and 16th (37:36.61) in the 10,000-meter run and both earned ECAC qualification.Â
