Women's Track & Field Ships Up to Boston for the Scarlet & White Invite

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison women's track & field team ships up to Boston for this weekend's Scarlet & White Invitational hosted by Patriot League foe Boston University. Additionally, two pole vaulters, Elizabeth Bryant & Jennifer Scott, will travel to Penn State University this Saturday for the Sykes & Sabock Challenge.Â

When: Friday-Saturday, Feb. 3-4, 2023
"This is the first time we are doing an overnight trip with a travel squad, and the athletes are very excited," said head coach Kevin Donner. "The competition looks great, and the track itself is considered one of the fastest in the country for those who run 200 meters and up. Getting experience on a banked track is good preparation for the league meet at Navy. I have always felt that by February, our marks start to improve since we now have two/three meets under our belt."

Last Time Out (The Bison Open)
- Meghan Quinn earned second place in the 200m Dash by running 24.73. That time garnered her ECAC qualification in the event.  Additionally, it is now the fourth-best time in Bucknell history.Â
- Karen Hull placed first in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.96.Â
- The Bucknell "A" Team of Grace Vives, Alison Cooke, Lauren Shaffer, and Caryn Rippey finished first in the Distance Medley. Their time of 12:23.82 was nearly 12 seconds better than the second-place quartet.Â
- The 400m Dash witnessed Katherine Loew picking up her first individual collegiate victory with a time of 58.80.Â
- The Bison swept the top-three slots in the 500m Run with Colleen Linko as the first-place finisher with a time of 1:20.24.
- Hollie Walters brought home the gold in the 3000m Run thanks to a time of 10:31.88.Â
- Bucknell owned the High Jump event by grabbing all five top spots. Karen Hull was the headliner notching first place and ECAC qualification with her jump of 5-07.00.Â
