Fabian swam a 47.66 in the 100 butterfly during Friday morning's prelims, beating his mark of 48.00 from last year's championships. It was Gehrig, however, that scored 16 points for the Orange & Blue by racing to a third-place finish in the event during Friday evening's finals with a 47.73. His mark was good enough for second all-time, and Fabian came in just behind him with a 47.95 for fourth place in the finals.
The Bison took fourth in two other events as well, as Chris Kopac swam a 1:37.26 in the 200 freestyle, while two navy swimmers and one from Army claimed the top three spots.
