Bucknell at a Glance
• Bucknell wrapped up its 2022-23 dual meet schedule with a 6-2 (5-2 PL) record, concluding with a 181-109 victory over Lehigh. The Bison also put together a strong showing at the Bison Invite on Jan. 28.
• Bucknell is 36-5 (28-5 PL) in dual meets dating back to the 2018-19 season. Four of its five losses over that stretch have been to Navy.
• The Bison posted a 9-1 (7-1 PL) record during the 2021-22 season. They finished second at the 2022 Patriot League Championships, winning 10 medals and collecting 577.5 points. Bucknell also took second at the previous championships in 2019-20 and have now been the runner-up 13 times in program history.
• Bucknell returned five of its six All-Patriot League honorees: Catherine Craig (1st in 2022, 2nd in 2020), Abby Doss (1st in 2022), Sabrina Vumbacco (1st in 2022, 2nd in 2020), Sophia Donati (2nd in 2022), Esme Hunter (2nd in 2022).
• Vumbacco was named the Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week back on Jan. 24.
• The Bison set a new program record in the 200 freestyle relay this season and made nine additions to the all-time top 10 lists overall.
• Bucknell added seven student-athletes to its program ahead of the 2022-23 campaign. The newcomers hail from seven different states: California, Connecticut, Maryland, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
A Look Ahead
• Bucknell will compete at the 2023 ECAC Championships from Friday, Feb. 24 through Sunday. Feb. 26 in Annapolis, Md.
