Softball Adds Dailor to Recruiting Class

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell head softball coach Sarah Caffrey added another player to the Class of 2028 recruiting class with the signing of Kate Dailor. Dailor makes the fifth member of the Class of 2028 to join the Bucknell Softball herd. Â Â Â
Dailor hails from picturesque Honeoye Falls, New York. She plays catcher and slots into various utility roles. A diverse athlete, she lettered in cross country, Nordic skiing, and softball. She has served as the softball team captain for three seasons. Her prowess on the diamond has resulted in two All-County selections, a mention on the 2023 All-Greater Rochester Players to Watch list, and two All-Greater Rochester Honorable Mentions.
Her high school team, Honeoye Falls Lima, has benefited from her bat. The catcher has led the team in home runs, triples, and walks during various seasons. Honeoye Falls Lima won the Sectional Championship in 2021 and 2023.
Dailor has a knack for the clutch moment. In 2021, she scored the winning run to walk off the sectional championships. Two years later, Dailor blasted the go-ahead home run in the seventh inning against the #1-seed Pittsford, which aided in the upset of Honeoye Falls Lima's rival.
Bucknell softball returns in February 2024. Bison fans should expect a schedule release in the forthcoming weeks.
