LEWISBURG, Pa.- Outside hitter Catherine "Cat" Jamison grabbed her second Bison of the Week award this year for her performances against Army and Colgate. The senior powered the Bison attack to accomplish the 2-0 weekend for Bucknell's second 2-0 road sweep this season. Both Army and Colgate were in first place during their defeats to Bucknell. Jamison previously won the award on Sept. 4. She became the first athlete since Meghan Quinn in 2022-23 to win twice.
"Cat was extremely effective for us this weekend," said head coach Tyler Hagstrom. "She stayed consistent with her attacking in each set and also took some big swings that gave us a momentum boost when we needed it."
Jamison collected 36 kills on the weekend and evenly split them 18 apiece in each game. She led the Bison in kills for both contests. She delivered the winning kill in the fourth set against Colgate to tie the match at two sets. The result provided the stage for Bucknell's classic comeback. Beyond leading the team in kills, her spirit and energy lifted the Bison troops.
Jamison has become one of the leading attackers in the Patriot League, currently ranking fourth in kills (238) and seventh in kills per set (3.09). She ranks fourth in points (261.5) and seventh in points per set (3.40). The Bison have used her powerful swing to propel themselves to third place in the circuit.
Jamison and the Bison return to Davis Gym to play Loyola (Oct. 27) and Navy (Oct. 28).
