
Women's Swim & Dive Posts Strong Bison Invite Performance

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell women's swim & dive won 10 events, finished 1-2-3 in five events, and Abby Doss raced to a top-10 time in the 200 freestyle during a strong afternoon at the Bison Invite in Kinney Natatorium on Saturday.
Final ResultsDoss led a trio of Bison that took the top three spots in the 200 freestyle, and her 1:50.48 places her seventh in the Bucknell record book just behind current senior Sabrina Vumbacco. Doss was also a winner in the 200 IM, clocking a 2:04.20.
Along with the 200 freestyle, the 200 IM was another strong race for Bucknell swimmers on Saturday. Caroline McGann came in just behind Doss at second with a 2:06.08, and Vumbacco came in third with a 2:06.56.
Bucknell also went 1-2-3 in the 100 breaststroke, which Hanna Bingley (1:05.12) won, in the 100 butterfly, which was led by Sarah Culkin (56.44), and in the three-meter dive, led by Meghan Catherwood (266.85). Joining Catherwood with a win in the dives was Gina Hinthorn in the one-meter, as the sophomore posted a 252.60.
Elsewhere, Emma Feld took first in the 100 backstroke, Rylie Giles won the 1650 freestyle, and Skye Sunderhauf touched the wall first in the 200 breaststroke.
Bucknell's one winning relay was the 200 freestyle team, which came in at 1:36.49 and was comprised of Megan Leyden, Jennifer Bolden, Claire Kehley and Sophia Donati.
Bucknell will spend the next two weeks gearing up for the championship meet, which will be hosted at Kinney Natatorium Feb. 15-18.
