Volleyball's Frazilus Named PL Rookie of the Week for Second Time

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell freshman Bri Frazilus was named the Patriot League Volleyball Rookie of the Week on Tuesday for a second time in a row. Frazilus put together an MVP performance at the Bucknell Invitational over the weekend, making her second All-Tournament Team this season.
Frazilus, an outside hitter who joined the Bison this fall after an outstanding playing career at North Raleigh Christian Academy in Cary, N.C., leads Bucknell in kills (84) and is second in digs through the first six matches this fall. She's also posted four double-doubles.
At Bucknell's home tournament on Friday and Saturday, Frazilus totaled 42 kills and 38 digs against George Washington, LIU and NJIT to help guide the Bison to their first 6-0 start in school history. She posted hitting percentages above .200 in all three matches, including a .282 in the LIU match where she registered a weekend-best 16 kills. Frazilus also supplied a career-high 19 digs in Friday's win over the Colonials.
Frazilus currently ranks third in the Patriot League in kills per set (4.20) and is ninth in the league in digs per set (3.50).
Joining Frazilus on the All-Tournament Team at the Bucknell Invitational were teammates Cat Jamison and Sarina Singer. Jamison finished the weekend with 35 kills and a stellar .342 hitting percentage. Singer collected 18 kills and 17 digs.
Bucknell plays in its final non-conference tournament at the 2022 Western New York Invitational in Buffalo, N.Y. on Friday, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10. The Bison open the tournament against the Bulls at 5 p.m. Friday.
