Eight Bucknell Wrestlers Capture EIWA Academic Achievement Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Eight Bucknell wrestlers captured EIWA Academic Achievement Awards for their performance on the mat and in the classroom during the 2020-21 campaign.
Headlining the Bison honorees were NCAA qualifiers Zach Hartman and Darren Miller. The duo was joined on the EIWA All-Academic squad by fellow EIWA placewinners Vincent Andreano, Jaden Fisher, Frankie Guida, Jr., Mason McCready, Kurt Phipps and Brandon Seidman.
Hartman, an All-American and EIWA champion at 165 pounds, earned his third-straight EIWA Academic Achievement Award. Fisher and Guida, Jr. each captured his second while the other five wrestlers recognized this year became first-time honorees.
Bucknell ranked second among EIWA programs with its eight award recipients, finishing behind Hofstra (10) and tying Drexel. To be eligible for this award, wrestlers must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.20 and participated in the EIWA Championships or posted a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and qualified for the NCAA Championships.
