Koch, Bellini Voted to Women's Tennis All-Patriot League Second Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Senior Cayla Koch and junior Daniela Bellini have both been selected to the 2021 Women's Tennis All-Patriot League Second Team, as was announced by the league office on Tuesday. Both players make an All-League list for the second times in their careers, and it's the second time in a row that Bucknell has had more than one player honored.
Koch returns to the All-League Second Team after receiving the recognition in 2019. She capped her Bucknell career with an outstanding senior season, going undefeated in singles through much of the spring and finishing with a team-best 14 total victories. Koch played all 10 of her singles matches on court two and opened the season 6-0. She also picked up a singles win in Bucknell's 4-2 quarterfinal round win over Lehigh in the Patriot League Tournament. The Weston, Conn. native was 8-2 in singles play for the season
Koch went 6-4 in doubles play, competing solely on court one. She ends her career tied for 17th in program history with 49 career singles victories, ninth with 57 doubles wins, and tied for 13th with 106 combined victories.
Bellini was a First Team All-Patriot League selection as a rookie and is now back in the postseason awards following another winning season. Bellini played every match on court one for the Bison, going 4-3 in singles and 6-4 in doubles play. She earned Patriot League wins over Lehigh and Loyola (Md.) during the regular season, and she now owns 36 career singles wins and 31 career doubles victories.
Bellini and Koch went 5-4 together as a doubles tandem this spring, helping the Bison finish with a 5-5 overall record on the season.
Army and Boston U. split the Patriot League major awards, and Army's Ana Joyner was voted the Patriot League Player of the Year.
