LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell volleyball's Jordan Hardy has been selected as the Patriot League Volleyball Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. Hardy's weekly award is the first of her career and the first for the Bucknell volleyball team this fall.
The first-year libero racked up 49 digs during a 1-1 week for the Bison, including a career-best 31 digs in Friday's win over Holy Cross. Hardy is sixth among all Patriot League players with her 4.11 digs per set. She's been in double figures in all but three matches this season as well. Hardy has reached her previous season high of 19 four times.
Hardy also added six assists over the weekend, and she posted four in Saturday's match vs. Army. The rookie has started every match for the Orange & Blue this fall. Her 31 digs on Friday helped the Bison overcome a 2-0 deficit in the match against the Crusaders.
The volleyball team has five matches remaining in the regular season. The Bison visit American and Navy this coming weekend before hosting Lehigh for the home finale on Friday, Nov. 5.
