Women's Basketball Makes Trek to Boston U. for Saturday Afternoon Game

Bucknell travels to Boston U. to take on the Terriers Saturday afternoon. It's the final Patriot League opponent that Bucknell, who took a two-game lead in the standings this week, has yet to face this season. The Bison are winners of 13 of the last 15 games and continued their defensive dominance against Army on Wednesday.
Boston U. is coming off of back-to-back wins that put the team above .500 in Patriot League play. The Terriers have seen a youth movement in recent weeks as three freshmen have made their way into the starting lineup. The Terriers are led by 2019 Patriot League Coach of the Year Marisa Moseley, who guided the team to their second-ever win over Bucknell last season.

• For a second straight game, the Bison made 12 3-pointers and shot better than 40 percent from the arc. Bucknell now ranks 13th in the country with its .378 3-point percentage.
• Bucknell has held 13 of its last 14 opponents to 60 points or fewer. The Bison rank eighth in the country in scoring defense at 53.3 points allowed per game.
• Bucknell sports the Patriot League's best scoring margin at +10.7. The second-best team is Colgate at +5.4.

Kapp moved into fourth place all-time last game with 153 made threes in her Bucknell career. The junior passed Kate Walker for seventh all-time in career 3-point attempts (374) earlier in the season.
• Junior Ally Johnson recorded her fifth game of the season with three made triples on Wednesday. Johnson is sixth in the league with 1.8 made per game and has scored in double figures seven times. Johnson is also averaging three assists per game over the last three games.
• Boston U. is the only Patriot League team remaining on the schedule that the Bison have yet to face. Bucknell has only lost two games to the Terriers, who joined the league in 2013.

• Boston U. improved to 5-4 with a 41-39 road win over Loyola (Md). on Wednesday. It was the team's second win over the Greyhounds this season, while scoring in the 40s during both victories.The Terriers have now won back-to-back games after defeating Holy Cross in overtime Saturday.Â

Feb. 8 is also Girls and Women in Sports Day at Bucknell, and the athletic department is hosting a festival in the Gerhard Fieldhouse from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The event is free and open to all children grades K-8.
