Cayla Koch Wins Top Consolation Championship at SJU Invitational

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Bucknell women's tennis concluded the SJU Invitational Sunday with junior Cayla Koch winning the top singles flight's consolation championship.
Koch defeated Villanova's Lexi DeNucci 6-4, 6-1 to earn Bucknell its second consolation title of the tournament, each of which Koch was a part of.
The junior advanced to the title match following a 6-1, 6-2 win in the semifinals on Saturday.
The Bison also collected a doubles consolation championship on Friday with Koch and Dax Seidlin winning the top flight 8-2 over the tandem from La Salle.
The Bison will not compete again until the ITA Regionals, which begin Friday, Oct. 25 in Blacksburg, Va.
