Brooke Stark Named Bison Athlete of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Brooke Stark has been named the Bison Athlete of the Week after winning tournament MVP and helping her team to a pair of wins at the CCSU Invitational over the weekend.

Stark put together two of her top performances of the season at the invitational, posting 18 digs in a win over Rhode Island before topping that with a career-high 35 in a win over Central Connecticut State. Along with her defensive contributions, the senior libero recorded a pair of service aces in the final set of the 3-0 sweep of the Rams. Stark also totaled eight assists for the weekend.

Though she only played in two of the Bison's three matches in the tournament, Stark's 53 digs were the most she's recorded in a weekend this season. The Thousand Oaks, Calif. native now has 124 total digs in 2019, and eclipsed the 1,000-career dig mark earlier in the season.

Stark and the Bison will be home this weekend to host the Bison Invitational on Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21.
