Bellini Selected as Patriot League Women's Tennis Player of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Daniela Bellini was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on Tuesday after helping the Bucknell women's tennis team improve to 8-0 with a 6-1 win over Colgate on Saturday.
Bellini won in both singles and doubles against the Raiders. Her singles victory came in straight sets over Mackenzie Deeter, a Second Team All-Patriot League selection last season. The freshman improved to 6-2 during the spring, with all eight matches coming at the top spot of the lineup.
The doubles win came while teaming with Sofia Ayuso on court two. They upped their record to 5-2 during the spring.
Bucknell, which is off to their best start since 2004, will play four matches in Orlando, Florida, on March 11-15. The Bison will play Seton Hall, Howard, Northern Illinois, and Western Carolina during their trip south.
