Kelsey O'Loughlin Earns Fifth Patriot League Rookie of the Week Award

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell volleyball's Kelsey O'Loughlin was named the Patriot League's Rookie of the Week on Monday for a fifth time this season. The freshman was rewarded for her two well-rounded performances in a 1-1 weekend for the Bison.
O'Loughlin, who's consistently been among the top assist leaders in the Patriot League, had two of her more efficient outings on the attack for Bucknell over the weekend. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native posted 14 kills on 32 total attempts while committing just two errors.
 O'Loughlin's hitting percentage topped .365 in both matches, including a match-high .385 percentage against Army. She now leads the team in that category with a .319 for the season. O'Loughlin also led the Bison with 25 digs in the win over Holy Cross.
The freshman totaled 70 assists in the two matches, with 43 of those coming against the Crusaders. It was the seventh time this season that O'Loughlin has surpassed 40 assists in a match. She now has 682 assists on the year and added three blocks to her season total as well.
Senior Sophie Bullard was an honorable mention for Player of the Week after totaling 33 kills and 25 digs over the weekend.
Bucknell has a quick turnaround as it travels to Navy on Tuesday, Oct. 15 for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Midshipmen. Â
