Men's Swim & Dive Welcomes Loyola and Army West Point to Kinney Natatorium

Bucknell at a Glance
• Bucknell is currently 2-3 (2-2 Patriot League). The Bison most recently competed at the FAU Invite on Dec. 20, which was not scored.
• Chadd Cummings was a standout performer at the Bucknell Invitational, Bucknell's most recent scored meet which was held Nov. 16-18. Along with his runner-up finish in the 200 breaststroke, he placed third in the 100 breaststroke and swam the second leg of the second-place 200 medley relay team on Saturday. On Friday, he was a member of two fourth-place relay teams.
• In addition, Liam Pitt had a strong Bucknell Invitational. The freshman reached the 'A' finals in three individual events and posted Bucknell's 10th fastest time in the 50 freestyle (20.82); he was also on the same three relay teams as Cummings.
• In 2017-18, the Bison went 2-7 (2-4 Patriot League). They placed third (411 points) at the 10-team Patriot League Championships and ninth (177 points) at the 21-team ECAC Championships, a one spot improvement at both events from the 2016-17 campaign.
• Chris Devlin (1st) and Matt McGoey (2nd) were Bucknell's 2018 All-Patriot League honorees.
• The Bison returned two school record holders: Cummings (100 breaststroke, 54.65) and McGoey (200 IM, 1:47.84). In addition, returnees Cummings (200 medley, 400 medley), Charlie McFarland (200 medley, 400 medley, 400 freestyle) and Jacob Lubinski (400 medley) were members of school record setting relay teams.
• Bucknell lost Devlin, a four-time All-Patriot League First Team selection and two-time Swimmer of the Patriot League Championships, to graduation. Devlin left Lewisburg as the school record holder in three events and as the owner of six Patriot League individual titles.
• The program welcomed eight newcomers in 2018-19. They hail from eight different states: Colorado, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Loyola at a Glance
• Loyola is currently a 4-1 (2-1 Patriot League). The Greyhounds most recently won the H2OUNDS Invitational, which was held Nov. 30-Dec. 1.
• At the 2018 Patriot League Championships, Loyola matched its best finish by claiming fifth with 286.5 points. The Greyhounds then placed 11th at the ECAC Championships.
• This will be only the second dual meet between Bucknell and Loyola. The teams met for the first time on Jan. 13, 2017 at Kinney Natatorium.
• The Bison scored a commanding 165-117 victory over the Greyhounds, with eight swimmers combining to touch the wall first in 10 individual races.
Army West Point at a Glance
• Army West Point is currently 2-2 (0-1 Patriot League). The Black Knights were downed by rival Navy, 173-127 in their most recent meet and will take on Lehigh before facing Bucknell.
• At the 2018 Patriot League Championships, Army West Point was the runner-up with 780.5 points. The Black Knights' point total was the second-highest posted at the Patriot League championship meet in the past 16 years.
• Army West Point leads the all-time series with Bucknell, 27-5, and is currently riding a six-meet winning streak.
• The Black Knights dropped the Bison, 223.5-73.5 in their most recent meeting on Jan. 13, 2018 in West Point. Chris Devlin won the 200 backstroke and 200 IM at the meet, which was also attended by the ACC's Boston College.
