Bison to Host Clinics on Sept. 1 and Sept. 8

The Clinics Are for Athletes in 7th-12th Grade
LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell softball team will host two fall skills clinics in early September. The first will be held this Saturday, Sept. 1, and the second will take place on Saturday, Sept. 8. Both will be held at Becker Field from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m., with Gerhard Fieldhouse serving as the backup facility in the case of rain.
The clinics are open to athletes in grades 7-12. The cost is $145 and includes a camp t-shirt. Attendees are asked to bring their own snacks and water bottle, and pitchers are asked to please bring a catcher.
The 2018 fall skills clinic is designed to provide student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills while being exposed to college level drills and instruction in all facets of the game. Defense, pitching, hitting, short game, base running, and the mental game will all be addressed. The clinic will be run by the Bucknell coaching staff and Bison student-athletes.
The coaching staff led the Bison to the Patriot League Tournament as the No. 2 seed in 2017, their first season with the team. The team had an All-Patriot League pitcher and three All-Patriot League hitters.
