Women's Lacrosse Travels to Lafayette Wednesday, Hosts Colgate Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's lacrosse team travels to Lafayette for a game on Wednesday, March 28 at 7 p.m. before returning home to face Colgate on Saturday, March 31 at 1 p.m.

• The Bucknell women's lacrosse team is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2018. Established in 1978, the program has compiled a 210-387 all-time record.
• The Bison are currently 2-6 (1-1 Patriot League) on the season.
• In 2017, Bucknell went 9-8 (4-5 Patriot League). The Bison, who finished sixth in the Patriot League a year ago, were picked to place in the same spot in 2018, as voted on by the league's coaches and sports information directors in the preseason poll.
• Bucknell's captains are seniors Katherine Doyle, Sarah Galzerano and Mary Margaret Kenney.
• The Bison need to replace both of their 2017 All-Patriot League honorees in midfielder Maddy Molinari and defender Annie Gilbertson. A year ago, Molinari led Bucknell with 37 goals, 11 more than the next player, while Gilbertson paced the Patriot League in caused turnovers per game (2.12).
• Remington Steele was named the Bucknell women's lacrosse team's 12th head coach in August 2017. This is his first collegiate head coaching position.

• No. 12/13 Navy rolled to an 18-5 victory at Bucknell on March 24, fueled by a 12-0 run that stretched from the 15:56 mark of the first half to the 17:32 mark of the second.
• The Bison came out strong, holding the Mids off the board until the 21:07 mark of the first half. During that stretch, Jamie DeWitt came up with four of her 11 saves, including two on free-position bids.
• Four of Bucknell's five goals came on free-position attempts, with Eve Calabria, Sarah Galzerano, Mary Margaret Kenney and Sarah Dohler converting. Dohler added an unassisted goal with two minutes remaining in regulation.

• The Leopards are currently 3-6 (0-2 Patriot League) on the season. They are currently on a three-game losing slide, which included losses to Patriot League foes Holy Cross (16-14) and Boston University (16-8).
• Lafayette was selected to finish fifth in the Patriot League preseason poll.
• The Leopards lead the all-time series with the Bison, 33-6.
• In 2016, Bucknell snapped a six-game losing streak to Lafayette with a 13-12 victory at Fisher Stadium; the Leopards took the 2017 meeting at Graham Field, 14-13.
Colgate at a Glance
• The Raiders are currently 6-3 (1-1 Patriot League) on the season. Colgate will host Boston University on Wednesday before traveling to Bucknell.
• In the Patriot League preseason poll, the Raiders were chosen to place seventh.
• Colgate leads the all-time series with Bucknell, 34-4.
• Last season, the Bison snapped a 14-game losing skid to the Raiders with a 12-11 victory at Graham Field. After Colgate scored five unanswered goals in the final seven minutes of regulation to tie the game at 11 apiece, Morgan Steinhacker netted the game-winning goal with 24 seconds left play.
