Antonellis Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell junior Celina Antonellis was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Softball Team on Thursday. Antonellis, who received the honor for the first time in her career, gives the Bison an All-District honoree for the second consecutive season.
Antonellis, a double major in political science and English-creative writing, carries a perfect 4.0 GPA after two-and-a-half years at Bucknell. She is a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and has made the Dean's List in each of her first five semesters. Antonellis has already completed internships with Senator Edward J. Markey and Congresswoman Niki Tsongas.
Antonellis has taken on a larger role for the Bison on the field this season, starting in 18 of the 29 games she has played. She has eight hits, five walks, three RBIs and is 2-for-3 on stolen-base attempts.
Head coach Courtnay Foster has had a player earn Academic All-District status in each of her first two seasons at Bucknell, including Amanda Fazio in 2016.
