About the Bison
-- Bucknell is set to compete at the Virginia Duals for a 10th consecutive year. The Bison posted a 2-2 record at the Virginia Duals last year with wins over The Citadel and Rider.
-- Twelve teams will compete at the Virginia Duals and they are divided into four three-team pools that will each do round-robin dual matches on Friday. The top team in each pool will advance to Saturday's semifinal, which will be held at 2 p.m. The finals are scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Each team is guaranteed to wrestle four dual matches.
-- Bucknell is in the Poquoson River Pool with Campbell and No. 19 Arizona State. The Bison open competition at 9 a.m. on Friday against Campbell followed by an 11 a.m. match vs. Arizona State.
-- There are four nationally ranked teams competing at the Virginia Duals. No. 5 Virginia Tech, No. 15 Oklahoma and No. 24 Virginia join No. 19 Arizona State.
-- Bucknell earned its first dual victory of the year earlier this week when it upended Franklin & Marshall 33-6 in its first home match of the year. The Bison won the final six bouts and posted five bonus-point victories in the match.
-- Bison winners vs. Franklin & Marshall included Jordan Gessner, Tyler Smith, Victor Lopez, D.J. Hollingshead, Chad Reese, Garrett Hoffman, Tom Sleigh and Tyler Greene.
-- Victor Lopez enters the Virginia Duals with a 92-47 career record to rank 10th on the program's all-time wins list. He needs one victory to tie Brian Pitzer for ninth place.
-- Bison head coach Dan Wirnsberger enters Friday's first match with 99 victories during his time at Bucknell.
