Women's Basketball Contributes to WBCA "Day of Service"

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Seven members of the Bucknell women's basketball team – two staff members and five players – spent time volunteering at Kelly Elementary School on Wednesday. This specific community outing, one of many the Bison partake in each year, was done in conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Day of Service.
Five players – Claire DeBoer, Kyi English, Ellie Mack, MK Moore, and Sune Swart – joined head coach Aaron Roussell and director of basketball operations Lindsey Burke in spending part of their day with the kids at Kelly Elementary, speaking to the class and joining them in various games and fun.
Wednesday marked the inaugural “Day of Service” for the WBCA. Programs were encouraged to engage in some act of giving – small or large – within their communities.
