Bison Women's Lax Places 19 Student-Athletes on PL Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Nineteen student-athletes from the Bucknell women's lacrosse squad made the 2016 Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll on Thursday. The Bison were one of the most improved teams in the country after winning 10 games this spring, and they also had a banner year in the classroom with a 3.41 combined team grade-point average.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average during the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
Highlighting Bucknell's list of women's lax honorees were senior Sam Rickels and junior Becca Golding, who both earned perfect 4.0 GPAs. Rickels also became a four-time Honor Roll selection, making her one of eight four-timers across the entire league. Also named to the Honor Roll was sophomore Eve Lukowski, who was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year at season's end. Lukowski has a 3.96 cumulative GPA and also led the Bison in scoring with 65 points this season. Rickels and Gretchen Richter joined Lukowski on the 12-person Patriot League All-Academic Team.
Of Bucknell's 19 honorees, 13 also made the Bucknell Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
