Women's Track and Field Wins 10 Events at Maroon and Gold Invitational

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's track and field team won 10 events, in its final meet before the Patriot League Outdoor Championships, Saturday at the Maroon and Gold Invitational hosted by Bloomsburg. Bucknell won nine individual titles and one relay event.
In a field of 13 participants, Sarah Chandler finished first in the 800-meter, completing the event in 2:12.10. Her time is a new personal-record and ranks in the top-10 of the Bucknell record book.
The Bison posted victories in all four throwing events. Abigail Brundage (shot put), Kasey Getkin (javelin), Sophia Nnadi (hammer) and Stephanie Easse (discus) each won their respective event.
In jumping events, Kimberley Lapszynski took first out of 15 in the long jump, recording a leap of 18-5 ¼. Alexis Auman won the triple jump title, posting a jump of 38-4.
On the track, Kafilat Oladiran finished first in the 100 hurdles, completing the event in 14.93. Oladiran was also the runner-up in the 100 dash. In the 400 hurdles, Chrissy Haney won the title with a time of 1:01.86.
The Bison 4x400 relay team added a win, completing the race in 4:12.78.
Bucknell will host the 2016 Patriot League Outdoor Championships on May 6-7 at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.
