Bison Men Tabbed Fourth in Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Preseason Poll

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's track and field team was picked to finish fourth in the Patriot League Outdoor Preseason Poll. The Bison received 93 points, while Navy was the unanimous favorite to repeat as champions with 16 first-place votes and 128 points.
Army West Point was picked second with 108 points, followed by Boston University with 99 points. Lehigh was picked fifth with 71 points, followed by Lafayette (46), American (45), Holy Cross (43) and Colgate (16) to round out the poll.
The Midshipmen won last year's outdoor championships, as well as this season's indoor title.
Bucknell opened its outdoor season last weekend at the Jim Taylor Invitational. The Bison won 14 events, while five qualified for the IC4A Outdoor Championships.
Joseph Breen qualified for the IC4As in the discus and shot put, while Grant Reynolds (110-meter hurdles), Mark Stafurik (hammer) and Pat Mulrooney (javelin) also qualified in their respective events. The Bison 4x100 relay team also qualified for the postseason meet.
The Bison are currently in action this weekend at the Colonial Relays, hosted by William and Mary.
