LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's track and field senior John Westwood has earned 5th Quarter Fresh Bison Athlete of the Week honors after an impressive performance at the IC4A Championships.
Westwood competed in the 1,000-meter run, advancing past the preliminaries on Saturday with a first place time of 2:25.03. The senior won the event outright on Sunday, crossing the line in 2:24.26 to earn All-East honors. His time was a personal-record and ranks fifth in program history.
Overall, it was a fantastic weekend for distance runners, as the Bison women set school records in three events.
