WILLIAMSBURG, Pa. -- Schuyler Stitzer carded his second straight 76 and the Bucknell men's golf team recorded a 315 team score on Monday in round two of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate at the Kingsmill Resort River Course.
After opening with a 308, the Bison dropped seven spots into 26th place. The usually consistent Stitzer still has not made anything worse than bogey in the tournament, and he made one birdie on Tuesday on the par-3 13th hole.
Freshman D.J. Magee also had a birdie on a par-3 and posted a 79 for the second straight day. Zach Pogust and Peter Scialabba both shot 80, and one day after leading the team with a 4-over-par 74, Thomas Walter found trouble early in his round and carded an 84.
Texas Tech put together a 2-under-par 278 team score to take an eight-shot lead over Eastern Michigan in the team standings. Radford's Ryan Rettberg shot 67 on Tuesday and is now 4-under for the tournament. Carter Jenkins of UNC Greensboro and Clement Sordet of Texas Tech are two shots back.
The third and final round will be contested on Tuesday morning.
