Volleyball Completes Season Sweep of Lafayette with 3-0 Win

EASTON, Pa. – The Bucknell volleyball team completed a season sweep of Patriot League foe Lafayette with a 3-0 win on the road Friday evening. It was the fourth conference win of the season for the Bison, their most since the 2010 season.
Junior Karen Campbell had 14 kills with a .333 hitting percentage and added three blocks, helping the Bison improve to 5-17 overall and 4-10 in the conference with wins of 25-15, 25-21, 26-24. Freshman Hailey Stout also had 14 kills and was second on the team with 16 digs.
In addition to her usual role as the defensive leader – she led the team with 17 digs – sophomore Kristen Parks had four of Bucknell's six services aces. Stout added the other two. Freshman Luz Nagle and junior Meghan Wentzel split duties as setter, recording 26 and 12 assists, respectively.
The Bison trailed 24-23 in the third and final set before scoring the final three points to clinch the match. Following a service error and an attack error by the Leopards, Jordan Walker closed the match with a kill off an assist from Nagle.
Lafayette was paced by setter Samantha Volk with 31 assists. Katy Rooney finished with eight kills and four block assists, and Lauren Pisauro was the lone player on the team to reach double figures in digs with 11.
Bucknell closes the season with three home matches, including a conference match against Lehigh on Saturday at 5 p.m. They will also host Loyola (Md.) on Friday, Nov. 14, and NJIT for a non-conference contest on Saturday, Nov. 15.
