Bucknell Volleyball Introduces Seven Incoming Freshmen for 2013 Campaign

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell volleyball announced its seven incoming freshmen on Friday. Jackie Beyer, Keane Brazda, Erika Eastley, Rebecca Forbes, Kendall Kaestner, Kristen Parks and Jordan Walker will all join the Bison for the start of the 2013 season. The group has combined for multiple All-State and All-League honors and has led their teams to seven conference and area titles during their high school careers.
Below is an alphabetical list of Bucknell volleyball's incoming freshmen:
Jackie Beyer (Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) - Right Side Hitter - 6-0
Keane Brazda (Newton, Mass./Newton North) - Setter - 5-10
Erika Eastley (Torrance, Calif./South Torrance) - Middle Blocker/Right Side Hitter - 6-2
Rebecca Forbes (Oakville, Ontario/Holy Trinity Catholic) - Middle Blocker/Right Side Hitter - 5-10
Kendall Kaestner (Santa Fe, Calif./Torrey Pines) - Libero/Defensive Specialist - 5-9
Kristen Parks (Manhattan Beach, Calif./Chadwick School) - Libero/Defensive Specialist - 5-7
Jordan Walker (Euclid, Ohio/Villa Angela-St. Joseph) - Outside Hitter - 5-11

Keane Brazda (Newton, Mass./Newton North) - S - 5-10 - Lettered in volleyball, softball and soccer at Newton North High School ... named All-State in volleyball as a junior and senior ... also a two-time Boston Globe All-Scholastic selection ... AAU All-American honoree as a freshman and All-Area as a freshman and sophomore while playing in Florida ... named All-Area and MVP in soccer as a freshman ... daughter of Sara and Chris Brazda ... born in Gainesville, Fla. ... grandfather, Bay Neal, ran track at Virginia.
Erika Eastley (Torrance, Calif./South Torrance) - MB/RS - 6-2 - Three-year letterwinner in volleyball at Torrance High school ... served as team captain as a senior ... named All-Pioneer League First Team as a junior and senior ... also selected All-League Most Outstanding Player during senior season ... named All-CIF 1AA Team and All-Area First Team in final campaign ... received All-SoCal Team honors twice ... competed in Junior National Championships three years as a member of the Sunshine Volleyball Club ... daughter of Kevin and Terry Eastley ... has a sister, Karly.
