LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell women's lacrosse team continues its challenging six-game road trip this weekend with a pair of games in the Washington, D.C., area. The Bison take on George Mason in Fairfax, Va., on Friday at 7 p.m. and then visit George Washington on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Bucknell is 0-3 on the young season, but all three losses have come against nationally ranked teams in No. 18 Stony Brook, No. 9 Penn State and No. 15 Johns Hopkins. Sophomore Emily Kookogey has a goal in each game and leads the team with three goals on the year. Senior Madison Hurwitz also has three points with two goals and an assist, and freshman Emily Becker has a pair of goals.
Katelyn Miller leads the team in ground balls with six and shares the team lead with Andrea Feldman with three caused turnovers. Adrienne Wendling's eight draw controls is one ahead of Sophie Kleinert for the team lead.
George Washington defeated George Mason 10-6 in D.C. on Wednesday, sending the Patriots to 0-3 on the season while leveling GW's record at 2-2. George Mason has also fallen to Longwood (12-9) and Brown (15-10).
Rachel Obregon leads the Patriots in scoring with seven points on six goals and one assist. Allie Hilderbrandt and Kirstin Russell have scored four goals apiece. Only one of the team's 25 goals have been assisted.
Goalie Brittany Pastrana has started two of Mason's three games and has earned the decision in all three. She has a .429 save percentage and also paces the squad in ground balls (11) and caused turnovers (6).
George Washington opened the season with a 22-7 rout of Howard, then lost to Drexel (10-3) and Denver (17-6) before bouncing back with the win over George Mason. Jamie Bumgardner has three goals and a team-high 10 assists, and Nicole Lacey has seven goals, two assists and 17 draw controls.

Bucknell and George Mason will be meeting for the first time. The Bison and George Washington played for the first time in 2012, with the Colonials winning 15-7 at Graham Field.
