Bucknell Softball Releases 2012 Fall Clinic Information

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell softball announced its trio of 2012 fall clinics on Monday. The Bison will hold their Elite Clinic Sept. 16 and the All Skills Clinic on Oct. 21. A final Elite Camp will also be held Nov. 3-4. Those interested in participating should register early as space is limited. The Elite Clinic, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 16, is open to high school students and is geared toward those with significant competitive softball experience. Bucknell coaches and student-athletes will provide instruction in advanced softball skills, and participants will have the opportunity to receive video analysis of their hitting.
The All Skills Clinic set for Sunday, Oct. 21 is open to students of any skill and experience level in fifth through 12th grade. Instruction will emphasize fundamental skill development with an opportunity to work on both the offensive and defensive sides of the game.
The two-day Elite Camp running Nov. 3-4 is geared toward high school students will competitive softball experience and who are looking to continue playing at the collegiate level. Advanced skills will be covered, with sessions including video hitting analysis, mental training and question-and-answer period with current Bucknell players.

The Bucknell softball team won the Patriot League championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history in 2010. The team has fallen short of the Patriot League Tournament in each of the last two seasons, but the Bison will return eight starters from a very young squad in 2013. The upcoming season marks the first at Bucknell for coaches Bonnie Skrenta and Maya Ripecky.
